Since we will only have a short tea break, PLEASE have your breakfast :D. After the day camp which is at 1pm, we will be going to bedok corner for our lunch. It is optional.

THINGS YOU MUST BRING
1.one school base T-shirt
2.P.E pants
3.1 pair of undergarments
4.slippers/sandals
5.towel

These are the main things you guys should bring. Of cause you can bring your favourite snacks along for the tea break, even though we will be providing snacks and drinks. Lastly please wear a dark school base T-shirt to school (break for charity/go wild for charity T-shirt) with your P.E pants. We will be having water games in those shirts.

For camp on 27th, for the clothes, bring these clothes pls.

Wear a school based t-shirt and PE pants to school.
Bring 1 black t-shirt. Can be school based or home, but must be black.
Bring 1 home t-shirt and 1 long pants. This is for Pulau Ubin.

In addition, please bring mosquito repellents and stuff like that.

For the Chung Cheng Exchange program, it will be on thu 29th of Nov instead of 28th Nov.

Hey Guys! Our seniors' seniors' seniors' senior, Clement, is organising a gathering in December and this is an email sent by Clement. Take a look.. :)

Dear All,

To some of us, it had been years since we left tms. Some of you might have attended the gathering at east coast park 2, 3 years ago. And that is the last gathering we had so far. Many of us had either come out to work in the society or still schooling. Few still contact the old friends of tms.

Mdm Cheng had fallen sick previously and had now retired. She is no long teaching in Tms. We will be organising a buffet gathering at tms on 29 Dec 06. The date had been set as 29 Dec, last friday of the year as most of us might be going overseas for the month of December.

Mdm Cheng had expressed her "wish" to see all of us at the gathering. Memories of our secondary school life may be still lingering around our mind. This gathering would be a great time to meet old/new friends and relive our secondary school life. Really hope all of you can turn up. But most importantly, it is a time where we can see our teachers, and at least wishes her the best of health. Who knows when is the next time we gather together?

I will also invite Mdm Tan Lee Cheng, our chinese literature teacher along. Some of us are being taught by her if you can still remember. (Btw she keeps long hair currently, hehe).

This gathering will consist of all students taught by Mdm Tan and Mdm Cheng. Kindly extend the invitation to all your friends if I had missed out some.

TMSCC workshop for Racial Harmony Day

Things to note:
- You will be teaching a class of secondary 3 girls.
- The pupils will be divided into two groups, A &B.
- There will be two members in each class and one member will teach one group.
- You will be teaching them the basics.
- You will be also teaching them certain words (文化, 谈中, 种族, 和谐 etc.)
- You might be teaching the teachers so be prepared.
- Be friendly and polite. Let them enjoy the learning process of calligraphy.
- Please note that you would have to leave your classrooms/ activities 15 minutes earlier to prepare yourselves for the workshop.
- The workshop will start at 11.15am and it will end around 12.15pm.
- There will be buckets for the pupils to wash their 毛笔. And black trash bags for them to throw their newspapers.
- Please ensure that the pupils do not dirty the classrooms.
- Ensure that they are quiet at all times.

Time schedule:
First 10 minutes => Introduction. (Tell them about yourselves, about the club and the objectives, like what they will learn. Also tell them about the things needed for calligraphy 文房四宝.)
Second 20 minutes => Teach them the basics.
Last 30 minutes => Teach them the words
· Only have 1 hour to teach so time is precious.
· Please inform your teacher about this workshop is on Tuesday and you have to leave earlier.
· You will be given a PowerPoint presentation to present to them.
· They will be required to write two words each and paste them onto the which they will keep as souvenirs.

P.S. Always remember to be patient with the people and do be flexible with your method of teaching. J When things got really messy and u cannot handle, do call for help. J

CCA During Holidays

Dear members,

CCA will be held at 04-09 (Mdm Ma's Home Room) from 10.00-12.30, on the 2nd and 9th of June. These are the first two weeks of the School Holidays. Please bring the following:
1. Brushes
2. 4 Weekly Assignments
3. Pupil's Handbook
4. Pencil Case
5. Zi Tie

For those who are not able to attend, please inform Jie Jing at least 2 days before the lesson. Parent letters will not be treated as an MC. Please come as you will also be attending your 2nd New Syllabus lesson.

Aztec 24/3

Shiok.
After a workout, or rather a game of captains ball, members were sweating away. For the Second Aztec 24/3, we had a nice game of captains ball. Most of the members were so enthu and "ferocious". It was such a pleasant enjoyment. The scores did not do any harm to our unity, we just played and played. Even the school helper Mr Sabry was anxious, not to know who won, but when we could leave. Haha. Never thought we were that chaotic? Think again

Kreta Ayer CC WEC Competition

Whew, another big day.

It was the Kreta Ayer CC WEC and The Chinese Calligraphy Society of Singapore National Calligraphy Competition. Held at Buit Ho Swee CC, just a stone throw from Tiong Bahru Mrt. We were just nice on time. Being first timers, we naturally had to settle the seating and stuff. all went smoothly for the first 45mins, until that announcer announced that there were only 15mins before the submission. We only had 1hr to complete a 28 words poem. Ain't that pure insanity? we were bewildered by that fact and wanted to just scrible it off. None theless, 3 of us managed to clinch awards. It was just a good experience for all.

Chung Cheng High (Main) - Temasek 1st annual Exchange Programme

Hey Guys, know what the TMSCC did last March Holidays? Well, it was something so damn cool. It was the 1st Exchange Programme with Chung Cheng High. Held on the 13th of March, first monday of the term break, and from 7am - 4pm, it was just awsome.
This event was initiated by the ORC committee. Through months of intense preparation, all went out well. The games were just so energetic and literally "piping hot". For example, there was the Mayan Treasure Hunt, where the clus were slimply another O level teaser. Ha. Besides that, games like Planet of what and some other newbies just blew our heads off. This ain't another Mr K.C Tan whooh kind of story. Its true!
Chung Cheng High members were just so different. They were very oriental, but also sporting, esp the guys who sneeked out to play basketball. Ain't they so cool too?
Besides the fun, there was the interschool competition. and so many of our members won prizes. Guess what, the judges were Shawn Teo, JieJing from TMS and StephanieChiang and Jean Chan from CCH. It was really mind boggling. Nevertheless, it was just superb.
There was even a historical moment- signing of agreement between the two chairmans. This was aimed to secure TMSCC in Temasek, and block out the treat of disbandment. All these heightened with the exchange of commerative gifts, which was a scrolled calligraphy art piece by Shawn Teo, Chairman of TMSCC.
Cool right.??

So, changed your perception and increased your want to join us?? haha. Fret not, we are having the next big thing during June's BONZONIA. Seeya.

AZTEC Day 24 th Feburary

On the 24th of Feburary, the TMS CC had the frist and ever AZTEC day. Organised by Sec 3s Henrietta Goh Mei Zi and Tay EeTeng. They performed brilliantly, with good preparation, but not very loud. On the whole the games were fun, from the Dog and Bone, Phantom Numbers to the Battle of the Sexes. Fun, and wet. Guan hong even distributed chocolates for everyone... so sweet....... haha. Ya. this idea actually came about last year, but Shawn failed to keep to his promises. Neverthe less. is now here and i believe you guys will enjoy. This is only the iceberg. No one knows whats for the next AZTEC day, 24/3/06... Be prepared. Be tortured.... haha joking *wInk*

Hey last Sunday, 5/2/06, the TMS Chinese Calligraphy Club took part in the National Hui Chun Competition held at the People's Association Building. We gathered at 6.45 in the morning. Siao, was damn early. And oops the Chairman did it again. Shawn was late, but Hui Yu was later. haha..... ( that Shawn ar.... !&&^*^%#&!^#$!&#%%#$#%^) .

Anyway, we made our way to the site which was about 1 km away and even jay-walked.*wo0ps*. When we reached the place, i saw something wierd. There was a white holy figure waving at us from a distance. He looked hysterical. He looked like a bird. No, an aeroplane. No, superman. Carp, it was just plan old Samuel. 0k.... then the preparation starts, we pack, pour, dip and eat oreo with milk.. i mean we started writing and writing and talked and talked and blah blah...

When the announce was made that we had to hand up the pieces, we virtually freaked out. We were running amok. Cause we had to choose which was nice and where to paste that knida of stuff. Lastly, we handed it up and collected our souvenior. he experience was knida of nice, fun and interesting. We saw so many students from Singapore.

It was nice!!!!! We even took a few photos to remember. Before we went home, we even went to Macdonalds to eat. Guess what, we even saw our JC seniors there. See, so nice. Go where also know em. Cool rite? TMScc really rox. so nice and united... *Whooh*

A whole New W0rld

A new year has begun.
A whole new experience awaits for all of us to savour.
In this new year, we, the tms Calligraphy Club will embark on a whole new journey, with lots of activities and games to further nurture core values in our members. Truly, this is the 10th Anniversary since the start of our Club. Hence, we promise to all of you that we will do our very best to make our club well-known. Sadly, this start will also mark the countdown of the ORC Committee. It has always questioned me relentlessly, whether am i a capable leader. This, i am really clueless. Hopefully, this answer will be yes, but i know i have many areas to improve on. I hope you all will follow me, and spur me on to serve you all.
